Driven by a deep passion for community service and a wealth of HR expertise, Carlos Monteagudo has launched Be A Spark, LLC, dedicated to career coaching and helping others ignite their potential. This new venture reflects his lifelong commitment to empowering individuals, a journey that began with foundational skill-building during his college years and culminated in a distinguished career as an HR executive.

The experience of being born and raised in the Bronx, as the child of Cuban immigrants, shaped Carlos’ unwavering commitment to empowering others. He understands the personal journey of overcoming fear and pushing past perceived limits. His motto, “When you tell me that I can’t do something, I will work twice as hard to achieve it,” reveals a deep-seated drive. This drive, coupled with a curious mind and a willingness to take calculated risks, has allowed him to build strong partnerships with and provide strategic guidance to global leaders.

For 23 years, Carlos has channeled his passion for development into a distinguished talent acquisition career. As a seasoned talent acquisition leader, he has hired and built teams that have successfully placed thousands across diverse sectors, from technology and finance to healthcare and media. His expertise, honed at prominent organizations like JPMorgan Chase, PointClickCare and Bloomberg, where he led global and regional talent acquisition teams, provides him with a deep understanding of the professional landscape and a proven ability to advance careers at all levels.

“I wanted the name of the company to be unique, elicit a response and pique curiosity. The word spark is both a noun and a verb connected to an experience — as simple as a light that goes off in your head when you have a great idea. A spark can also be a flash of light, something that sets off a sudden force or a particle that is capable of growth.

All of these examples translate to possibility: seeing something in people and inspiring them to discover their own greatness.
